Inspirational swim event in Willimantic

On Saturday, March 25, the 41st Annual Windham Invitational Special Olympics Swim Meet was held at Windham Community & Senior Center in Willimantic. Special Olympians from Connecticut attended this day-long swimming and sports clinics event.

Their courage and determination were an inspiration to all of us.

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the day extra special for the athletes.

Thanks also to the many individuals, businesses and organizations in the Greater Windham Area whose generous contributions helped finance the meet. The overwhelming and continued support for this annual event is an example of America at its finest!
